قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ} [النور: 30]

nasai-kubra:11298Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm > al-Faḍl b. al-ʿAlāʾ > ʿUthmān b. Ḥakīm > Isḥāq b. ʿAbdullāh b. Abū Ṭalḥah from his father from his grandfather

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once went out in the afternoon and found them talking in their gatherings at the doors of their houses. He said, "What are these gatherings? It is better for you to sit in these elevated places." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, we sit in places where there is no harm. We gather inside our homes, then we come out and talk." He said, "Then give these gatherings their rights." They asked, "And what are their rights, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Lowering the gaze, speaking kindly, returning greetings, and guiding the lost."
