He should perform two prostrations before the salutation, as it was mentioned by Sulaiman b. Bilal.

يَسْجُدُ سَجْدَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ السَّلاَمِ كَمَا قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ
