This hadith that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Jabir on an errand has been reported by him through another chain of transmitters.

بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي حَاجَةٍ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ حَمَّادٍ
