muslim:52j – Qutaybah b. Saʿīd And Zuhayr b. Ḥarb > Jarīr

Jarir narrated this on the authority of A'mash with the same chain of narrators (as mentioned above).  

مسلم:٥٢j – وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ

muslim:2207b – [Chain 1] ʿUthmān b. Abū Shaybah > Jarīr [Chain 2] Isḥāq b. Manṣūr > ʿAbd al-Raḥman > Sufyān

A'mash reported this with the same chain of transmitters and he made no mention of the fact that he cut one of his veins.  

مسلم:٢٢٠٧b – وَحَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ كِلاَهُمَا

عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرَا فَقَطَعَ مِنْهُ عِرْقًا  

muslim:2297b – ʿUthmān b. Abū Shaybah And ʾIsḥāq b. Ibrāhīm > Jarīr

" They are my companions; they are my companions."
