This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Shu'ba with the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of wording.  

مسلم:٢٨٥٣b – وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ بِمِثْلِهِ غَيْرَ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَلاَ أَدُلُّكُمْ
