This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Muhammad b. ja'far through another chain of transmitters.

مسلم:٢٧١٦c – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَبَلَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ غَيْرَ

أَنَّ فِي حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا لَمْ أَعْمَلْ
