This hadith bu been narrated on the authority of Abu Sa'id Khudri through another chain of transmitters.  

مسلم:٢١٥٣e – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ خِرَاشٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ قَالاَ سَمِعْنَاهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ بِشْرِ بْنِ مُفَضَّلٍ

عَنْ أَبِي مَسْلَمَةَ

البيهقي:١٣٤٦٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ أنبأ شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ؓ يَقُولُ لَقَدْ رَدَّدَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ وَلَوْ أَجَازَ لَهُ التَّبَتُّلَ لَاخْتَصَيْنَا رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ

عَنْ أَبِي الْيَمَانِ
