muslim:1398b – Abū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah And Saʿīd b. ʿAmr al-Ashʿathī > Saʿīd > Abū Bakr > Ḥātim b. Ismāʿīl > Ḥumayd > Abū Salamah > Abū Saʿīd

Abu Sa'id reported from Allah's Apostle ﷺ a hadlth like this, but in the chain of transmitters no mention was made of Abd al- Rahman b. Abu Sa'id.  

مسلم:١٣٩٨b – وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الأَشْعَثِيُّ قَالَ سَعِيدٌ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمِثْلِهِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ فِي الإِسْنَادِ
