muslim:1238b – [Chain 1] Ibn al-Muthanná > ʿAbd al-Raḥman [Chain 2] Ibn Bashhār > Muḥammad / Ibn Jaʿfar Jamīʿ

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Shu'ba with the same chain of transmitters, but with a slight variation of words.  

مسلم:١٢٣٨b – وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ شُعْبَةَ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ فَأَمَّا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَفِي حَدِيثِهِ الْمُتْعَةُ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ مُتْعَةُ الْحَجِّ وَأَمَّا ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ فَقَالَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ قَالَ

مُسْلِمٌ لاَ أَدْرِي مُتْعَةُ الْحَجِّ أَوْ مُتْعَةُ النِّسَاءِ
