Jarir reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered an address in which he exhorted people to give charity.  

مسلم:١٠١٧f – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هِلاَلٍ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ

خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَحَثَّ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ
