Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa that his father used to pray in the desert without a sutra.  

مالك:٩-٤٨ – وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ

أَنَّ أَبَاهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي الصَّحْرَاءِ إِلَى غَيْرِ سُتْرَةٍ
