١٨۔ كتاب الطلاق

18.6 The woman who has been irrevocably divorced is not entitled to spending

١٨۔٦ باب الْمُطَلَّقَةُ ثَلاَثًا لاَ نَفَقَةَ لَهَا

(946) bukhari:5323Muḥammad b. Bashhār > Ghundar > Shuʿbah > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. al-Qāsim from his father > ʿĀʾishah

Aisha said, "What is wrong with Fatima? Why doesn't she fear Allah?" by saying that a divorced lady is not entitled to be provided with residence and sustenance (by her husband).  

(٩٤٦) البخاري:٥٣٢٣حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ مَا لِفَاطِمَةَ أَلاَ تَتَّقِي اللَّهَ يَعْنِي فِي قَوْلِهَا لاَ سُكْنَى وَلاَ نَفَقَةَ

Urwa said to Aisha, "Do you know so-and-so, the daughter of Al-Hakam? Her husband divorced her irrevocably and she left (her husband's house)." ʿAisha said, "What a bad thing she has done!" 'Urwa said (to ʿAisha), "Haven't you heard the statement of Fatima?" ʿAisha replied, "It is not in her favor to mention."  

'Urwa added, ʿAisha reproached (Fatima) severely and said, "Fatima was in a lonely place, and she was prone to danger, so the Prophet ﷺ allowed her (to go out of her husband's house).
(٩٤٧) البخاري:٥٣٢٥حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ لِعَائِشَةَ أَلَمْ تَرَيْنَ إِلَى فُلاَنَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَكَمِ طَلَّقَهَا زَوْجُهَا الْبَتَّةَ فَخَرَجَتْ فَقَالَتْ بِئْسَ مَا صَنَعَتْ قَالَ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعِي فِي قَوْلِ فَاطِمَةَ قَالَتْ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَهَا خَيْرٌ فِي ذِكْرِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ  

وَزَادَ ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَابَتْ عَائِشَةُ أَشَدَّ الْعَيْبِ وَقَالَتْ إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ كَانَتْ فِي مَكَانٍ وَحِشٍ فَخِيفَ عَلَى نَاحِيَتِهَا فَلِذَلِكَ أَرْخَصَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ
