Sahl bin Sa'd said: “A woman came to the Prophet and he said: 'Who will marry her ?' A man said: 'I will.' The Prophet said: 'Give her something, even if it is an iron ring.' He said: 'I do not have one.' He said: 'I marry her to you for what you know of the Quran.'”  

ابن ماجة:١٨٨٩حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ يَتَزَوَّجُهَا فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَنَا فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَعْطِهَا وَلَوْ خَاتَمًا مِنْ حَدِيدٍ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ مَعِي قَالَ قَدْ زَوَّجْتُكَهَا عَلَى مَا مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ
