[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, and the Caliphs did not engage in backbiting. However, backbiting is an innovation that emerged after them. I heard Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ya'qub al-Shaybani al-Hafiz saying that he heard Abu Zakariya Yahya ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya saying that he heard Ahmad ibn Hanbal saying: 'I do not narrate the hadith of Musa ibn Ubaydah al-Rabathi and the hadith of Abdur Rahman ibn Ziyad al-Afriqi.'"
«مَا هَمَزَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَلَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَلَا عُمَرُ وَلَا الْخُلَفَاءُ وَإِنَّمَا الْهَمْزُ بِدْعَةٌ ابْتَدَعُوهَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ» سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَعْقُوبَ الشَّيْبَانِيَّ الْحَافِظَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ يَقُولُ «لَا أَكْتُبُ حَدِيثَ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ الرَّبَذِيِّ وَلَا حَدِيثَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْأَفْرِيقِيِّ»
