[Machine] We went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and found a man with him. He said, "Visit him, for they are appointing him as the successor, meaning Ali."  

الحاكم:٢٨٨٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ نَحْوَهُ قَالَ

فِيهِ فَانْطَلَقْنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَإِذَا عِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ قَالَ زِرٌّ إِنَّهُمْ يُعَيِّنُونَهُ يَعْنِي عَلِيًّا  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِ» صحيح
