hakim:2658Abū Jaʿfar Muḥammad b. ʿAlī b. Duḥaym al-Shaybānī > Aḥmad b. Ḥāzim b. Abū Gharazah al-Ghifārī > ʿUbaydullāh b. Mūsá > Isrāʾīl > Muḥammad b. Qays > Mālik b. al-Ḥārith

I witnessed Ali on the day of Nahrawan asking for the mukhaddaj (a man whose arm had a deformity who was foretold to ʿAlī by the Prophet ﷺ), but he was unable to find one. His forehead began to sweat and he became distressed. Eventually, he was able to find him and he fell down in prostration, saying, "By Allah, you have neither lied nor been lied to."
