[Machine] I and Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri went to Hudhaifah and said, "O Abu Abdullah! Talk to us about what you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding turmoil." Hudhaifah said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Stick to the Book of Allah wherever it takes you.'" We said, "But what if people differ among themselves?" He replied, "Follow the group of Muslims and their Imam (leader), and if a division occurs and you see a group aligning with Ibn Sumayyah, then align with them, for they will be adhering to the Book of Allah." I asked, "Who is Ibn Sumayyah?" He said, "Do you not know him?" I indicated that I did not, so he said, "He is Ammar ibn Yasir." I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying to Ammar, 'O Abu Al-Yaqzan, you will not die until the rebellious group kills you on the way.'"  

دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ عَلَى حُذَيْفَةَ فَقُلْنَا يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدِّثْنَا مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الْفِتْنَةِ قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «دُورُوا مَعَ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ حَيْثُ مَا دَارَ» فَقُلْنَا فَإِذَا اخْتَلَفَ النَّاسُ فَمَعَ مَنْ نَكُونُ؟ فَقَالَ «انْظُرُوا الْفِئَةَ الَّتِي فِيهَا ابْنُ سُمَيَّةَ فَالْزَمُوهَا فَإِنَّهُ يَدُورُ مَعَ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ» قَالَ قُلْتُ وَمَنِ ابْنُ سُمَيَّةَ؟ قَالَ أَوَ مَا تَعْرِفُهُ؟ قُلْتُ بَيِّنْهُ لِي قَالَ «عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ» سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لِعَمَّارٍ «يَا أَبَا الْيَقْظَانِ لَنْ تَمُوتَ حَتَّى تَقْتُلَكَ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ»
