Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the ʿAsr prayer and then one could reach the ʿAwali (a place in the outskirts of Medina) while the sun was still quite high. Narrated Yunus: The distance of the ʿAwali (from Medina) was four or three miles.  

البخاري:٧٣٢٩حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلاَلٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ فَيَأْتِي الْعَوَالِيَ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ وَزَادَ اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يُونُسَ وَبُعْدُ الْعَوَالِي أَرْبَعَةُ أَمْيَالٍ أَوْ ثَلاَثَةٌ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the Asr prayer while the sun was still high. Then, people would go to the outskirts where the sun was still high. Some of the outskirts were four miles or three miles away from the city. Al-Bukhari added that Al-Laith narrated from Yunus that the distance of the outskirts was four miles or three miles.
