Agonies of death and the Prophet’s ﷺ final words

bukhari:6510Muḥammad b. ʿUbayd b. Maymūn > ʿĪsā b. Yūnus > ʿUmar b. Saʿīd > Ibn Abī Mulaykah > Abū ʿAmr Dhakwān > ʿĀʾishah

Aishah ᴿᴬ used to say that there was before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a leather vessel or a wooden container containing water—Umar was uncertain—so he began putting his hands into the water and wiping his face with them, and saying, "There is no god but Allah. Indeed, death has agonies." Then he raised his hand and began saying, "With the Highest Companion." until he passed away and his hand drooped. Abu Abdullah said: The ulbah is of wood, and the rakwah is of leather.
