[Machine] And when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was placed in his grave, Shuqran took a piece of cloth that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wear and spread on his bed, and he buried it with him in the grave. He said, "By Allah, no one will wear it after you." So it was buried with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. In this narration, if it is proven, it indicates that they did not spread it in the grave, in accordance with the Sunnah in that matter. And it has been narrated from Yazid ibn Al-Asam, from Ibn Abbas, that he disliked placing a garment under the deceased in the grave.  

البيهقي:٦٧٢٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

وَقَدْ كَانَ شُقْرَانُ حِينَ وُضِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حُفْرَتِهِ أَخَذَ قَطِيفَةً قَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَلْبَسُهَا وَيَفْرِشُهَا فَدَفَنَهَا مَعَهُ فِي الْقَبْرِ وَقَالَ وَاللهِ لَا يَلْبَسُهَا أَحَدٌ بَعْدَكَ فَدُفِنَتْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَفِي هَذِهِ الرِّوَايَةِ إِنْ كَانَتْ ثَابِتَةً دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى أَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَفْرِشُوهَا فِي الْقَبْرِ اسْتِعْمَالًا لِلسُّنَّةِ فِي ذَلِكَ 6722 وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَ تَحْتَ الْمَيِّتِ ثَوْبًا فِي الْقَبْرِ
