[Machine] About Umm Atiyyah, it is narrated that she would wash the deceased twice with sidr (lote tree) and the third time with water and camphor. It is also mentioned about Abdullah bin Umar that his father advised him, saying, "O my son, when I die, wash me with water as a complete wash." Ata narrated that one wash is sufficient for washing the deceased. Umar bin Abdul Aziz said, "There is nothing specific regarding the limit of time for washing the deceased." Ibrahim mentioned that if sidr is not found, it does not harm. The companions of Abdullah used to say, "The deceased is washed odd number of times, then shrouded odd number of times, then it is wrapped in a shroud and tied with a piece of cloth."
