[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ drew lines, then he drew a line to the side and said, "Do you know what this is?" This is the example of the son of Adam and the example of the one who wishes, and that line of hope is between him while he hopes and death comes to him.  

البيهقي:٦٥٠٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْوَرَّاقُ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا هَمَّامٌ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَطَّ خُطُوطًا وَخَطَّ خَطًّا نَاحِيَةً ثُمَّ قَالَ هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَاذَا؟ هَذَا مَثَلُ ابْنِ آدَمَ وَمَثَلُ الْمُتَمَنِّي وَذَلِكَ الْخَطُّ الْأَمَلُ بَيْنَمَا يَأْمُلُ إِذْ جَاءَهُ الْمَوْتُ
