[Machine] He informed him. He said, "Salim, the servant of Abu Hudhayfah, used to lead the first immigrants and companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the Ansar in the Quba Mosque. Among them were Abu Bakr, Umar, Abu Salamah, Zaid ibn Harithah, and 'Amir ibn Rabiah." The sheikh said, "So he said this about this and about what came before it and among them were Abu Bakr and Umar. And it is possible that at another time Abu Bakr came with the Prophet ﷺ and it is possible that his leadership over them was before his arrival and after it." And the statement of the narrator was "and among them were Abu Bakr," meaning after his arrival. And Allah knows best.  

أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ كَانَ سَالِمٌ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ يَؤُمُّ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَأَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فِي مَسْجِدِ قُبَاءَ فِيهِمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ وَعَامِرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ كَذَا قَالَ فِي هَذَا وَفِيمَا قَبْلَهُ وَفِيهِمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَلَعَلَّهُ فِي وَقْتٍ آخَرَ فَإِنَّهُ إِنَّمَا قَدِمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَيُحْتَمَلُ أَنْ تَكُونَ إِمَامَتُهُ إِيَّاهُمْ قَبْلَ قُدُومِهِ وَبَعْدَهُ وَقَوْلُ الرَّاوِي وَفِيهِمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَرَادَ بَعْدَ قُدُومِهِ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
