[Machine] 'Omar thought that the Prophet ﷺ was only prohibited from seeking the rising and setting of the sun.'  

البيهقي:٤٣٨١ – وَأنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْهِلَالِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا وُهَيْبٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ

وَهِمَ عُمَرُ إِنَّمَا نُهِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَتَحَرَّى طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَغُرُوبَهَا  

أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ وُهَيْبٍ وَإِنَّمَا قَالَتْ ذَلِكَ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ؛ لِأَنَّهَا رَأَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ وَكَانَتَا مِمَّا ثَبَتَ عَنْهَا وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَضَاءً وَكَانَ ﷺ إِذَا عَمِلَ عَمَلًا أَثْبَتَهُ فَأَمَّا النَّهْيُ فَهُوَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ثَابِتٌ مِنْ جِهَةِ عُمَرَ وَغَيْرِهِ كَمَا تَقَدَّمَ
