[Machine] Indeed, prostration is only for those who hear it and it was narrated from another face from Ibn Al-Musayyib from Uthman who said: Prostration is only for those who sit for it and listen. It is also mentioned from Ibn Umar something similar to the statement of Ibn Al-Musayyib himself.  

البيهقي:٣٧٦٨وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو نَصْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ مَرَّ سَلْمَانُ بِقَوْمٍ يَقْرَءُونَ السَّجْدَةَ قَالُوا نَسْجُدُ؟ قَالَ لَيْسَ لَهَا غَدَوْنَا وَعَنْ سُفْيَانَ ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ إِنَّمَا السَّجْدَةُ عَلَى مَنْ جَلَسَ لَهَا وَعَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ

إِنَّمَا السَّجْدَةُ عَلَى مَنْ سَمِعَهَا وَرُوِيَ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا السَّجْدَةُ عَلَى مَنْ جَلَسَ لَهَا وَأَنْصَتَ وَيُذْكَرُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ نَحْوٌ مِنْ قَوْلِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ نَفْسِهِ
