[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ he said, "There is no greeting or salaam in prayer." Ahmad ibn Hanbal said, "In my opinion, what he meant is that one should not say the salaam and then greet you. The man's hesitation in his prayer is to say the salaam while he is in doubt, as mentioned in my book." Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us that Abu Bakr ibn Dasa informed us that Abu Dawud narrated to us from Ahmad ibn Hanbal, who mentioned it with its chain of narration, except that he said, "There is no greeting or salaam in prayer." Ahmad ibn Hanbal meant that one should not say the salaam and then greet you. The man hesitates in his prayer and then leaves while he is in doubt. This wording is closer to the explanation of Ahmad ibn Hanbal. Abu Dawud said.
