[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When a man is given permission while he is praying, his permission is by saying "Subhan Allah" (Glory be to Allah). And when permission is given to a woman while she is praying, her permission is by clapping. As for the Hadith that was narrated from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I had a specific hour during the night in which I would visit the Prophet ﷺ , and whenever he was in prayer, he would engage in tasbih (glorification of Allah). And this narration is disputed in its chain of transmission and its text. It was said that he engaged in tasbih, and it was said that he moved his finger. And the more correct view is that it was narrated by Abdur Rahman bin Nujayy Al-Hadrami. Al-Bukhari considered it as a weak narration, while others considered it adequate for its reporting. And with Allah is the success.
