[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Tasbeeh (glorification of Allah) is for men, and clapping is for women." Ibn Shihab said, "I have seen men from the scholars who glorify (Allah) and indicate (with their fingers)."  

البيهقي:٣٣٣٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّسَوِيُّ ثنا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رِجَالًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يُسَبِّحُونَ وَيُشِيرُونَ  

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ حَرْمَلَةَ وَرَوَاهُ هُشَيْمٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْهُمَا وَقَالَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
