[Machine] By Allah, I am the closest among you to the Messenger of Allah in prayer. Abu Hurairah used to prolong the last rakah of the Dhuhr and the last rakah of the Isha prayer, and the Fajr prayer after saying: "Allah listens to him who praises Him," he would invoke Allah for the believers and curse the disbelievers. 3090 Abu Ali al-Ruadbari informed us that Muhammad ibn Bakr informed us, on the authority of Abu Dawud, on the authority of Dawud ibn Umayah, on the authority of Muadh ibn Hisham, the author of Al-Dustwaiyy, who said: My father narrated to me, and he mentioned it with the same meaning, except that he said, "By Allah, I will bring you closer to the prayer of the Messenger of Allah."  

وَاللهِ لَأَنَا أَقْرَبُكُمْ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَكَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يَقْنُتُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأَخِيرَةِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ وَعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ بَعْدَمَا يَقُولُ سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَيَدْعُو لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَيَلْعَنُ الْكُفَّارَ 3090 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ ثنا مُعَاذٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ هِشَامٍ صَاحِبَ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي فَذَكَرَهُ بِمِثْلِ مَعْنَاهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَاللهِ لَأُقَرِّبَنَّ بِكُمْ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ
