[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ , Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman used to start their recitation with "Alhamdulillah Rabbil 'Alamin" [Al-Fatiha 2]. Abu Abdullah and Abu Saeed added in their narration that Imam Shafi'i said that they mean they start with the recitation of Umm Al-Kitab before what is recited after it, and Allah knows better. It does not mean that they leave out "Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim" [Al-Fatiha 1].
