[Machine] Ali bin Umar, may Allah have mercy on him, said, "This is a good chain of narration, and it contains evidence for those who claim that the meaning of his statement {so recite what is easy from it} is only after reciting the opening chapter of the book." And Allah knows best.  

البيهقي:٢٣٧١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الْأَوْدِيُّ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ الْبَجَلِيُّ ثنا هُرَيْمُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ بِالْبَصْرَةِ فَقَرَأَ فِي أَوَّلِ الرَّكْعَةِ بِالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَأَوَّلِ آيَةٍ مِنَ الْبَقَرَةِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ فَقَرَأَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَالْآيَةَ الثَّانِيَةَ مِنَ الْبَقَرَةِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ {فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْهُ} قَالَ

عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ حَسَنٌ وَفِيهِ حُجَّةٌ لِمَنْ يَقُولُ إِنَّ مَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ {فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْهُ} إِنَّ ذَلِكَ إِنَّمَا هُوَ بَعْدَ قِرَاءَةِ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
