[Machine] "On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: Command your children to pray at the age of seven and discipline them for it at the age of ten. This was narrated by Ibrahim bin Saad from Abd al-Malik bin al-Rabi."  

البيهقي:٢٢٥٣ – وَذَلِكَ فِيمَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامِ بْنِ مَلَاسٍ النُّمَيْرِيُّ ثنا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْجُهَنِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مُرُوا الصَّبِيَّ بِالصَّلَاةِ ابْنَ سَبْعٍ وَاضْرِبُوهُ عَلَيْهَا ابْنَ عَشْرٍ تَابَعَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ سَبْرَةَ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَعَلَيْهِ الْعَمَلُ عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ أَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَاقُ وَقَالاَ مَا تَرَكَ الْغُلاَمُ بَعْدَ الْعَشْرِ مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ فَإِنَّهُ يُعِيدُ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَسَبْرَةُ هُوَ ابْنُ مَعْبَدٍ الْجُهَنِيُّ وَيُقَالَ هُوَ ابْنُ عَوْسَجَةَ
