[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: "Whoever buys food should not sell it until he measures it." So, I asked Ibn Abbas, why? He said: "Don't you see them trading gold while food is in abundance?"

البيهقي:١٠٦٨٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أنا وَكِيعٌ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ ابْتَاعَ طَعَامًا فَلَا يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَكْتَالَهُ فَقُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ لِمَ؟ قَالَ أَلَا تَرَاهُمْ يَتَبَايَعُونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالطَّعَامُ مُرْجَأٌ؟

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ 10687 وَرَوَاهُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ أَيْضًا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ فَذَكَرَهُ رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ
