ahmad:48Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah

[Machine] I heard from Uthman, from the family of Abi Aqil Al-Thaqafi, except that he said that Shu'bah said and he recited one of these two verses: "Whoever does evil will be recompensed for it" [Surah An-Nisa 123] and "And those who, when they commit an immorality" [Surah Al-Imran 135].  

أحمد:٤٨حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ مِنْ آلِ أَبِي عَقيْلٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَقَرَأَ إِحْدَى هَاتَيْنِ الْآيَتَيْنِ {مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ} [النساء 123] {وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً} [آل عمران 135]
