[Machine] Amir used to take his charity and put it in the edge of his cloak, and no one from the poor would ask him for it except that he would give it to him. When he entered his family, he would throw it to them and they would return it to him, and they would find it the same as he had given it.  

الزهد لأحمد:١٢٤٥حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَخِي عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ قَيْسٍ

أَنَّ عَامِرًا كَانَ يَأْخُذُ عَطَاءَهُ فَيَجْعَلُهُ فِي طَرَفِ رِدَائِهِ فَلَا يَلْقَاهُ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمَسَاكِينِ يَسْأَلُهُ إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ فَإِذَا دَخَلَ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ رَمَى بِهِمْ إِلَيْهِمْ فَيَعُدُّونَهَا فَيَجِدُونَهَا سَوَاءً كَمَا أُعْطِيَهَا
