regarding the stray sheep he said: Take it (and keep it with you) till its seeker comes to it.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِهَذَا قَالَ فِي ضَالَّةِ الشَّاءِ فَاجْمَعْهَا حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهَا بَاغِيهَا
