[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ when he mentioned a trial, so he brought it closer. Then a masked man passed by and said, "This is the truth today." So, I stood up and held him by his two fingers, and I turned his face towards the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, is this him?" He said, "Yes." It was Uthman ibn Affan.

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ فِتْنَةً فَقَرَّبَهَا فَمَرَّ رَجُلٌ مُقَنَّعٌ فَقَالَ «هَذَا يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَى الْحَقِّ» فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَأَخَذْتُ بِضَبْعَيْهِ فَأَقْبَلْتُ بِوَجْهِهِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَذَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» فَإِذَا هُوَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ
