The Prophet ﷺ judged that seven cubits should be left as a public way when there was a dispute about the land.

قَضَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا تَشَاجَرُوا فِي الطَّرِيقِ بِسَبْعَةِ أَذْرُعٍ
